Ian Graham

Before joining CELI, Ian spent two years teaching English as a Second Language at the Next Generation English Academy in Iksan, South Korea, to students ranging in age from seven to 21, with a focus on conversation and writing. Prior to that, he worked as senior writer and researcher for The EI Group, a company that publishes print guides and websites targeting students from Asia who wish study in the United States and Canada. Ian’s teaching philosophy is holistic in nature, with an emphasis on the sentence as the building block of language. Furthermore, he believes that, when it comes to English, you either use it or lose it.

C. Dominic Smith II

Hailing from Clovis, New Mexico, Dominic Smith instructed students in Tokyo, Japan and in the Philippines. His dynamic teaching style has energized students ranging from nine to sixty-five years of age, making them enthusiastic in their studies. Dominic’s down to earth personality and his ability to relate his cultural and language learning experiences to the students has made him sought after as a teacher and respected as a friend and colleague. Dominic has been working at Cleverlearn since January and has this to say about his students: “People with the desire to learn about language and culture have always impressed me. To match my students’ dedication I always try to promote a lively environment with a rich exchange of ideas.”
